Curiosity in Rising Podcast

My BCM114 DA Pitch

I’m really looking forward to this semester of BCM114 and my digital artefact which I have chosen to create is going to be a podcast series titled ‘Curiosity in Rising’.

I’ll be striving towards recording a podcast which encourages people to have an open mind and learn a few things about lifestyle and spirituality, a community which has exploded in recent years on online platforms such as TikTok. I’ll be talking to special guests and debating certain topics and beliefs within the spiritual community – for example: manifesting and how effective it really is, whether or not star signs and birth charts can be an effective way to understand and predict aspects of our personality and lives and much more.

I’ll be drawing inspiration from podcast series’ that I have listened to in the past whilst putting my own spin on things and telling stories of my own.

I will be incorporating things I learned in BCM110 last semester such as the effects of an audience and the idea of moral panic surrounding spirituality.

The digital artefact will launch in the coming weeks later in the semester, with the instagram page already created: https://www.instagram.com/curiosityinrisingpod/ . The project will also include collaboration as fellow BCM students will be invited to interview and additionally help with the design of the upcoming logo.
